A Heavenly Experience This Winter

In preparing for the upcoming snow season Heavenly Mountain Resort at Lake Tahoe has reported enhancements to its trails as well as a new snow tube lift. It’s all systems go for the upcoming season by the sounds of it.

The trails have been widened at identified pinch points and there has been some work done on removing low hanging obstacles over the trails. The Pinnacles trails will be opened earlier in the season thanks to some fences and rock removal that was done in the area. This will give the operators the chance to groom the runs more consistently providing an even safer surface.

There has been widening of some trails such as Meteor, Jackpot and Canyon and there have been some access improvements to runs such as Nova, Big Dipper and Milky Way Bowl. The removal of obstacles also mans that less snow will be required before the mountain can be opened.

Heavenly’s new four-lane tubing hill will be accessed by a covered magic carpet lift. This takes you 450 feet up East Peak, with a 65-foot vertical drop. The new tubing hill is an addition to Heavenly’s Adventure Peak family recreation area. The fully-enclosed, elevated magic carpet lift will be multi-purpose: beginning snowboarders can use the surface lift to access new teaching terrain while others access the multi-lane tubing hill.

This adds a completely new and diverse experience for skiers and snowboarders of all ability and makes the Heavenly Mountain Resort a complete family oriented holiday.
